The day when the Washington area consisted of the District of Columbia and a collection of small suburban enclaves is long past. Today our metropolitan region is home to nearly 6 million residents, nearly 45% of whom live in Northern Virginia. Only about 12% live in the District of Columbia.

Construction of Long-Standing Alliance Priority to Begin in Earnest
The Express Lanes are scheduled to open in late 2022 and between now and then users will see lots of changes in the corridor.
To Keep on the Go; Be in the Know.
To assist I-66 users during this period, I-66 Express Mobility Partners, FAM Construction and the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) are providing information regarding construction activity so everyone can plan accordingly.
