NOVA Transportation Coalition Urges Commonwealth
to continue investing in NOVA’s Transportation Infrastructure
The Northern Virginia Transportation Alliance – along with 23 regional business and civic organizations – is urging the Virginia General Assembly to continue investing in Northern Virginia’s transportation infrastructure during the 2020 Special Session.
The Coalition’s Statement emphasizes the importance of a multimodal transportation network to Northern Virginia’s long-term economic growth, prosperity, and quality of life.
In order to maintain these important investments, the Coalition urges the General Assembly to:
- Safeguard funding for the Northern Virginia Transportation Authority
- Stabilize Transit Service in Northern Virginia
- Prioritize Current Transportation Projects and Programs
- Increase Funding Flexibility to Achieve these Goals
